Proper throttle body cable tension -93 honda civic VX
How do I find out the proper cable tension for my TB? My car has 320k miles on it, so I'm under the impression that the cable has stretched and things have worn down. Right now there is no tension on the throttle body via the cable. The cable has a little bit if slack before it engages the TB so the TB is completely closed. Shouldn't it be cracked ever so slightly for idle or is all of this done with the idle screw?
Thanks for your input.

Cable needs to be slack at idle. Also do not adjust the screw that stops the throttle plate, that is not how the idle speed is adjusted.
To confirm that everything works, have someone floor the pedal (engine not running) while you check under the hood that the throttle goes all the way to wide open.
