Thanks Ron, still working on this. Just had a thought I have had an issue in the past off and on when I get out of the car I sometimes get a small shock when I brush against the door, could this be related or ita different common problem.

It's possible, though the shock might also come from simple build up of static charge.

Thanks that is what Iwas thinking but thought I would check. Going out in a bit for more fuses if they do not blow I will stop at the Honda shop and pay out the but for a new switch. 87 in stock new on line was 65 + shipping and time.

Just a thought. It appears that the passenger switch component alone is bad due to a short. Maybe you could simply replace the one bad switch? However, I don't know whether the main driver switch assembly can be taken apart. It might be worth looking into.

I started to pull it apart but the control box is held together real tight.

I did find a used one localy for $50 not sure how reliable this kind of part would be. Might be worth spending the money on new?

Ask whether the seller will allow you to run the continuity tests on the used driver switch assembly. If it checks out okay, then it is likely fine.

I know I would have at least 30 days and I would be able to plug it in right away to make sure it worked. I am just worried about the wear on a 7 year old part that is mechanical and electrical. After all I wore one out already.

Yeah, that's a personal call. What's the cost different between new and used?
