Default Plastic "Rivets"/Fasteners

I was trying to remove the center interior "kick panel" on my 04 Honda Civic 4dr LX and there are two ( one on each side - driver & passenger ) Plastic "Rivets"/Fasteners on the lower front section of the plastic panel. Unfortunately, I broke them when I was trying to remove them.

Does anyone know where I can get these or what the "official" part name/number might be?

I tried my local Honda dealer and he just got a glazed look on his face when I handed him the part and asked if he had any..........

or if anyone might have a suggestion on how to reattach these panels so it looks nice, I would be greatly appreciative .......

Thanks for any help you folks might have.

I would think the Honda dealer would have them, considering they're on a lot of their cars.

YOu are referring to the little grey ones right? The ones you put a screwdriver in and pop out

Yea, I tried the dealer but after he looked in the manual for quite sometime, he couldn't come up w/ a part number or even the actual part name.

These are beige ( to match the plastic ) and they look like little rivets, no screw-head, just a round plastic "head" w/ a center "rod' that when pushed in expands the fastener to lock it in place - just like a rivet except plastic.

Any idea what the actual name for this part might be?

Thanks for the response.

Hi there,

Find the parts from below:

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

Then just call in the part numbers or order from above online. I did the same think with front bumper assembly... had a lots of broken tabs and plastic pop nuts.

BR, Juha

MCCivic,
Go to http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

Select your car's year, model, and trim. Then select "CONSOLE (2)" as the System Name/Component.

Thanks to everyone for the help !

I found the oficial part name/number ( CLIP, TAILGATE 1094012 ), strange name but I went ahead and put a few on order.

By the way fglaustin posted - "i think that HELP has them in packages. "
What is "HELP"?

Thanks again everyone !!!!!
