Planning on going n/a on a d17
Yeah, that's right. I know it's a mistake but I can't afford to swap out to a k20. What I have is an 2001 EM2 HX with, but wait it gets better lol, a d17a6 with the cvt tranny. Question is, will forged cp pistons and crower rods made for a regular d17 work in the d17a6. To my understandingthe only difference is the headers and of course the CVT auto. Maybe I'll find a 5speed sum where. I've heard stories on guys pulling 300whp out of them and thats what I wanna try. The weak block concerns me but I've gotta give it a shot. I've also looked into fuel rails and regulator, injectors etc, what is the best. AEM, Venom,HKS, GReedy, BDL..I'd like to know. And finally, since it's obdII is the only option a standalone EMS like AEM, or is Hondata plannin on finally making one "cheap" since they skipped this gen from the d16 to the k20. Where's the d17 c'mon.
