P0750 (Transmission)
My last transmission flush was 40,000 miles ago, i don't think i've ever had the fluid exchanged. Today, my check engine light came on, after a test, p0740 came up despite the fact that my transmission wasn't really acting up and remained smooth. The only thing to show signs of a problem thus far is that at 60-65 mph, my rpm is at 3k rather than a normal 25k. Will a fluid exchange clean out the system enough to discontinue further damage and correct the issue?

I'm hoping there is just build up and debris that is causing fluid to move slower in its process. My car is a 99 Civic ex with 220,000 miles on it (bought it used from its original owner at 110,000 and needed to get a rebuilt transmission at around 150,000). I've been completely consistent when it comes to due maintenance throughout the entire ownership...with the acception of having the transmission fluid flushed or exchanged. My last, I believe..flush, was 40,000 miles ago, overdue by jiffy lube's standards. I'm aware that any fluid exchange could be a waste, but wanted to first try a cheaper 'solution' prior to a garage's estimate, and where the engine light/65mph at 3k rpm only started happening 30 miles ago. One other notable thing is that my car sat off the road from October 09 until October of the following year, (prior to putting on the road, the seized alternator needed replacement)..not to mention its tranny fluid had been in there for at least 32,000 miles prior to sitting for a year.
Any suggestions would be amazing! Thanks again.
