Default oil pressure gauge hookup

94 civic lx 1.5 non-vtec

so i got bored one day and decided to buy a wet gauge for cheap for somethin to do. my only thing is i want to keep the sending unit hooked up so i can keep my oil light incase something does happen and i dont see the gauge. therefore i want to buy a T to go into the block and have the sending unit and gauge both working. the threads for the block/sending unit are 10 x .90 (metric) and the threads for the adapter in the kit are either 5/16 or 3/8 by 24 i think, i forget which one.

basically, i cant find any metirc brass T fittings or any metric to american adatpers, any ideas on where? i figure if i get a metric male adapter with a female american end i can buy an american T to go into the block via the adapter, then convert one of the american ends to metirc for my stock sending unit and use the other hole in the T with american threads for the gauge.

but i cant find these anywhere...any ideas?

p.s. no, i dont want to tap the threads in my block to be american, lol

I think the threads in the block are all 1/8 NPT. That's american pipe thread, not a bolt thread. It's 27 threads per inch and approximately 3/8 inch diameter, but tapered.

i had one installed on my 93 sedan a few months back. put the "T" fitting on the attachment for the factory sensor and plugged the old sensor to one of the branches, the other held my oil temp sensor and the tip of the cross had theoil press sender. turned out to be a pretty looong contraption and with the heavy sender at the end and all the vibration from the engine, it was leaking, albeit very slowly (not even noticeable through checking the dipstick for oil loss) but it was not a nice reality.

i ended up buying an oil filter sandwich adapter from ebay and its has more civilized look now. it has attach points for the oil temp and press senders and i put the original sensor back in its rightful place. i just noticed that since the oil temp sensor is mounted close to the engine, the temp reads a bit higher owing to the additional heat from the engine. also, the oil press reads a tad higher since it also detects the pressure in the oil filter, which on a cold engine indicates about 20psi when off. other than that, my oil is perfectly sealed and now, no little brown drops can be seen around it.
