Default Oil Leaking : (

so i recently bought this 2000 ex and either I or the owner before me (im banking on him) stripped the inside of the oil pan where the bolt goes in...my question is...will any oil pan fit as long as its from a sohc d16 engine? because theres tons on ebay but i wanna be 100% sure its gonna fit before dropping 40-60 bucks on one...anybody know?

thanks in advance

so from more research it seems like that having vtec matters? im so confused i did an automatic search on my local salvage yards website and it asked if it was sohc vtec, sohc base, or dohc....and on ebay it shows alot that are cx dx lx (base) and it also shows some that will work for both..wtf im soooo confused...does anyone have one just laying around? lol

The block is the same whether it's VTEC or not. Most of the D-series SOHC parts will interchange.

its gotta bt 96-00. z6's old pan's DO NOT FIT. Believe me, i researched this and debated it with people when i wasl ooking for an oil pan for boost. The z6's won't fit, but the y7/y8's are interchangable, the only difference in the two is that the y8 is aluminum and the y7 is steel.
