huh... yeah i don't normaly do additives unless i just got the car... i just did an engine swap the engine i got had like 190k(was free so the higher clicks didn't matter) on it and had a little sludge build up so i used a few additives to help clean it out... i was using addivtive on the other engine because when i bought it was burning oil like nuts.... i like to do oil changes 5k because of how it is darker... if it was not darker i wouldn't

I know some Jiffy Lubes have a machine where it can sample your oil and see what is in it. Not sure if this machine is for public use though as my friend worked there. We used it all the time to see how the motors were holding up, worked good for Honda trannies too.

It couldnt figure much out about Marvel Mystry Oil though, that stuff is just.........well.....a mystery

I don't like to over use them. They are hard on rubber seals and other stuff. I use seafoam every 30K. That stuff works great when it comes to cleaning, especially carbon deposits. If you will be adding injector cleaners just understand all these products can only do so much and are meant as regular maintenance and not a substitute for a professional fuel injector cleaner. I would advise not to over use them though.

My owners manual says 7500 miles on the oil and 3500 on the filter. I just changed it yesterday though. My dad brought home the oil and a fram filter. The little blue honda filters are a pita to get off. Especially with a hot engine. O well it is all done now.

Careful with Fram filters... they like to clog easily.
