oh great, speedo problems...
My speedometers acting up. Sometimes... well, every time I take my car out for a drive, I start it up, I accelerate, the speedometer works for the first minute or two, then it goes back to zero (when I'm still at speed) and it'll fluctuate (it'll go from 0-160) just like little jumps. Then after driving a couple kms it goes back to working again, then it doesn't work again... etc. I don't know what the h3ll's going on. I don't know what else to say, other than it's really starting to **** me off...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The picture should help. First check whether the VSS connector is tight.

i had a similar issue, if you have a normal DX/Cx cluster without a tach... take this as your queue to get a Ex or Si cluster. that's what fixed it for me

Look at the back of the transmission where the CV axles go into it. The VSS is on top of this part. It's kind of behind the engine, near the firewall.
I think the tach wire is in place on all models, you can simply plug an EX cluster in and the tach will work.
