Default No power to civic after knock sensor replacement.

My dad and I replaced the knock sensor on a 97 civic ex and now it's not getting any power. Only the wire to the sensor was disconnected and it was properly fitted and there don't appear to be any cut wires in the area I was working in. I hooked up a portable jumper to the battery to see if the car could draw from that but still nothing. The fuses look ok as well. If anyone knows what I could have possibly done your tip is welcome before I take it to my mechanic. Thanks.

edit: the brake lights come on when the brake is pressed down so it looks like something getting power.

does the car not have any power when you turn the key on? like dash lights, radio, door/key chimes, etc etc?

Did you unhook the negative battery cable before replacing the knock sensor?
