Default New Motor Stat

Hey guys I purchased myself a '97 LX sedan with a d16y7 motor about a year ago and it's been pretty good to me until recently when the head gasket went on me and I'm pretty certain warped the head aswell. I really can't be bothered with all the trouble of tearing this thing down and rebuilding so I've been looking into a swap to another d16, the problem is I haven't been able to find any usdm motors, it only seems we have jdm's available around here. My question is, is it fairly easy to put one of these jdm motors in? I realise the motors are the same but from an electronics point of view are there issues with the ecu and whatnot?

I'm in newmarket, ontario, canada it's about an hour north of toronto. There's also plenty of b16's around but I'm gonna try and keep this as simple as possible this thing is just a daily driver for me. My knowledge lies mostly in old v8's so I'm a little in the dark when it comes to these japanese motors.

that pic is the y8 vtec engine, it will work in your car direct bolt up, just a few things to do to make vtec work, that motor would be a nice upgrade from your y7.
you will need a vtec ecu obd2a from a 96-98 civic ex you can find them on ebay and then you will just need to run your own wiring from the vtec solnoid and oil pressure sensor to the new ecu

here is one on ebay that will bolt up directly.
