im sure u can get an gsr or an b series engine for less than 4k. becasue it makes no sence of u fixing an D series engine for 2 or 4k. but i would 1st try to return it back to the deal since its a week old and explain it to him becasue im sure it has to come with some kind of warrenty perhaps an 30 or 15 day warrenty

ah..
my car is 00 SI with 84000 miles on it..
i bought it cause its very clean and felt no problem when test droven..
and the engine should be b16a?
if i get a new engine i would prefer another b16 or b18..

its a b16a2. I gotta say, I think that car was boosted before. No way should a honda motor do that at that kind of mileage. If you were to swap the motor out, I would go with a B18 motor or a C5

You have not exhausted all your options yet. Call your local Better Business Bureau or contact a local TV station that has a consumer protection segment. Mostbusinesseswill settle rather than have notoriety. Especially since it has been only a week. Do it pronto.........
