I own a 2000 civic si. Recently the number 2 cylinder has no compression due to a cracked ring. Im looking for a replacement long block. I just need to fix the car nothing performance. I found a long block on a jdm site; it is a b16a 2nd gen. The specs say it is for 92-95 will this block work for my car?

 

your car has a cps on the crank since you are obd2b, so unless you wanna buy a obd2b to obd1 jumper and a p28 ecu to convert your civic to obd1 then no , can you make it work... yes but will require you to convert to obd1.

why not just repair your engine?
