Your gas mileage will drop in very cold weather. Did you change your driving style or do you drive more city versus highway miles?

Is the CEL on? Does it take an abnormally long time for the engine to get hot?

When were your plugs, wires, cap, and rotor last replaced?

Did you change driving conditions? City, highway, combined?

Driving 75 mph will reduce gas mileage. Try not to exceed 65 mph.

A D15z1 engine should be getting 40 mpg. You should also replace the plug wires, cap, and rotor, and check the ignition timing.

CEL = check engine light

Is the engine warming up quickly?

Do a full tune up, your highway mpg will improve if you slow down a little.

ya it does warm up quickly. full tune up includes what? plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, oil change, anything else to change? what about a new fuel pump. it did die on me today and it took awhile to get her back started

Yes, but replacing the fuel pump is probably unnecessary.

When you turn the key to ON(II), does the CEL turn on and then off after 2 seconds?
