here is the deal i have a 95 civic ex i just had a japan spec 1.6 put in and its running ****ty do i need to swap the computers since its a japan spec please someone let me know if this would cause baoging down and speedometer tonot work properly if any one has any help let me know or email me @ sk80914lfe@yahoo.com

I think the EX came with a 1.6 liter, VTEC, SOHC engine. If your new engine is the same type you don't need to change the computer.

The speedo doesn't go thru the computer anyway, this is a clue that something else is wrong. Check your ground wires and speed sensor. When the computer doesn't get the proper signal from the speed sensor it will enter "limp home" mode which means the engine won't rev over about 5000 and the VTEC will not kick in.

Depends on what motor you have. Honda makes a LOT of 1.6 liter motors...but theyre all different.
