Default Need help,94 civic sputter at 3,500rpm

I have a 1994 Civic ex with 1.6 V-tech. Car runs great until the motor reaches 3,500 rpm's then it feels like the rev limiter kicks in. Has anyone ever experienced this or have any ideas what might be wrong? Thank you in advance!!!

its called limp mode, when your CEL comes on, it sends your car into limp mode, it limits your power, eats more gas, stuff like that.. get an obd2 scanner and erase any CEL codes that you may have after you fix what they tell you.

Hah good try Josh but to my knowledge a 1994 civic will be OBD0 so a OBD2 scanner will definatley be of no help to him. But if you have CEL then there is a jumper plug under your glovebox, and it might also be behind the Computer cover but its either Blue or Green don't really remember. but you just get a small wire to jump the two wires and then turn the key to "ON" position and then count the CEL light as it flashes. I know somebody has a link to the detailed instructions on how to do this...

Its a sensor in the Dizzy i believe which is not servicable, you need to replace the whole distributor housing.
