need help with 90 civic-blower fan and radio?
I'm having a couple problems with my car. My blower fan stopped working last week and I can't figure out what's wrong with it. I checked the switch and the blower fan itself...both are good. I have no voltage to the fuse that should runthe fan. anybody have an idea why this would happen and how i can fix the problem? also I took out the factory radio to put in a cd player and the cd playeris a bit too small for the opening.do i need a kit for the radio for it to sit in the opening correctly? anyhelp at all would be great. thanks,
Dee

RE: need help with 90 civic-blower fan and radio?
For the blower motor, how did you check the voltage at the fuse? If you checked the voltage between the 2 points on the fuse, there should be 0 volts. If you checked the voltage between a point on the fuse and ground, there should be 12v. Does your fan not work at all or not work on some speeds? If the fan only works on high speed, the problem may be with the power transistor. If you have 0v at the fuse (between the fuse and ground) then the problem is that you aren't getting power from the battery to the circuit so check the wiring. For the head unit, there is probably an adapter for it but I'm not sure. Try posting in the audio section.
