Default need help

I am new here, and relitivily new to civics. So if this is a common problem forgive me.

I have a 92 Civic LX D15B7. The people I bought the car off of was having problems with it so they swapped the engine and couldn't get it to run. so i bought the car cheap. I played with the ignition timing and got the car to start but it barly runs, Idle is extremally low. it revs slowly to 3K then it picks up and seems to run normal. It seems to be running rich also.

I have changed the FPR, ECU, Map sensor, checked the timing, checked the ignition system (even changed the entire distributor with a spare), and more (can't remember everything). I am starting to get discuraged with it and don't want to fool with it anymore. So if anyone might know where to look next would be appreciated.

Hey ronnie, not that I know much yet but a few things to search for and checkout on your car are the IACV(idle air contol valve), causes idle problems, my car wouldnt start without it plugged in... I see that you have replaced the distributor but I know a few people have been having moisture issues with theirs. It sounds like timing is not an issue though are you sure on your correct firing order. Had an old s10 that I messed up the order and it sucked hard, ran rich idled badly, but that seems unlikely as your car idles low then starts to idle high?

can you guestimate the rpm when you first start?
Does it pulse or an even slope when it revs up to 3k?

when you start the car it idles at maybe 100 rpm's but it continues to run and it ever idle any higher. the only way the rpm's rise is hit the throttle. it is pretty much a constant rise through rpms but the car starts to sound normal and clear up at about 3-4 K. I may try to take a video tomarrow. Also I forgot to mention that fro what I can gather from the guy I bought it from what the car is doing now is what it was doing before they swapped the engine. So that leads me to believe it isn't anything on the engine it's self.
I never thought to check the plug wires I will do that in the morning. Thanks for the info.

Does it throw any CEL's (check engine lights)? Is that engine a direct replacement or an upgrade, not familiar with that model. The fuel injector could be clogged, but thats weird that the same problem would happen after swapping out an entire engine....trying to think of what components could effect that that wouldn't come with the new engine

same engine, both D15B7's, Same model, same year. I thought possibly fuel pump. but it seems to be getting plenty of fuel. I may try to swap it tomarrow as well.
