Hi all,

I'm new in this forum. I have a problem with my Civic that's still a mystery.

I changed a new Civic a yr ago. After a few months it started giving out a 'hoo' sound some times up to a few times a day! I got it checked half a yr ago. Mechanic said it's due to the air con pressure valve. Indeed the problem went away after he tuned, only to come back recently.

Very embarrassing when I have friends in the car. Worse, there was once at the traffic lights, a motorcyclist beside me got startled by the sound and started looking around. Well, I acted nonchalant of course!

Anyone has similar problem?

You are gonna have to be a little more specific than "hoo." Where is it coming from? What's goign on with the car when it happens? (Throttle, gear, a/c on, etc...)

What do you mean?

 

1) The sound comes from the front.
2) No specific frequency between sounds.
3) No pattern between days, considering driving everyday
4) No characteristic to how long engine started since overnight.
5) Sound can come on when car is moving, idling and after engine turned off.
6) No other misbehaviour from the car.
7) Aircon performance and temp gauge not affected
