My 97 civic leaks in more ways than one.
My 2 door DX has a few leaks. It leaks about 1L of oil every 2500 km (I don't drive very much, this would be about 4-6 months. I notice oil residue under the drain pan when I change my oil. I use synthetic oil. Is it a safe bet to replace the pan's gasket or is there somewhere else it can leak from? Looking into the engine bay from above shows no oil anywhere so I don't think it's the valve cover.
I have the dreaded window bind/pops out of track problem. I had to remove the door panel to reset it and when I took off the plastic barrier, it turned into a big sticky mess and I just tossed it. Soon after my stereo started shorting out because water was dripping onto the speaker terminals. I took the speaker out and taped the wires. Is taping a garbage bag over the speaker adequate? Is water inside the door panel normal?
Finally the rubber seal at the top of the driver side door (not the window) lets in a few small drips of water when it rains heavily even though the rubber seems to be in really good shape (soft, thick and pliable). Is this easy to replace?
Thanks for reading my long post and putting up with my noobishness.

You should replace the Gasket, its not that hard to do, plus with the driver side door weatherstripping, The door might be a lil out of shape...I had the same problem, until found out that you can pull the upper window frame and you should be able to seal the door again.
Heres a thread on it...

Clean all around the oil pan and make sure it really is leaking from there. The gasket itself is not very expensive ($8-?) depending on the parts store and area. It's a fairly straight forward job to do.
There really shouldn't be water in the door. A thick garbage bag may work. The weather stripping on your car may be causing this though.
Go to a parts store. They usually sell weather stripping, you cut, with adhesive on one side. It's around 20 bucks and should do the trick.
