Is my 2003 Civic DX a "D-series"???
Hi,
I know it might sound obvious, but is my 2003 Civic DX a "D-series"? I'm just a bit worried because I want to buy a throttle position sensor (TPS) and they only make them for "D-series" civics in 2003.
Honda is trying to scam me into buying the whole throttle body, but I'm planning to just order the TPS online and install it myself.
Any tips on installing the TPS other than hack two flat-heads into the existing rivits and then screw them out and replace the TPS?
Thanks,
Mike

why are you changing the tps sensor?
and thats the only way is to hack a flat head into the heads then unscrew them
this is where you look to tell which motor u have

OK
Thanks for the reply.
I'm planning to replace the TPS becuase Honda ran the diagnostics in the car (because I brought it in as the engine light was on) and they said it is just the TPS sensor...then they gave me the speal about needing the whole new throttle body just to get a new sensor.
The car is running fine but the engine light is on all the time now.
Any thoughts? Is the TPS easy to replace?
Thanks.
