Changing your transmission is a good idea because it does make shifting a little smoother plus it got rid of my grinding in 3rd gear. Yes, those fill plug are on pretty tight but, you just gotta really try hard.

Well it doesnt mean its for sure what I said, but if it started to happend right after you changed the oil, then thats most likly it right. My shifter is still really tight, just shifting into gears is really smooth, its like a hot knife through hot butter lol.

And IC the crunching is the griding, if it grinds as its going into gear then just take it easy, its your syncro. There have been many threads in the tranny section if you want to read more.
it isnt grinding tho, its been like this for 4-5 months now, so basically its gunna start grinding soon??? if i shift easy will itn ot grind?

lol, Ok, what im saying is, when you stay it "cruches" its the same thing as its "griding" just two different words, its not going to grind the hole time its in gear, just when you put it in gear.

i didnt know that thats wut u meant, i thought by grinding u mean wen it grinds and wont let u get into gear, my fault lol, but basically "crunching" is what happens before ur gears start to go bad rite?

Its the syncros that dont line up and thats were you get the grinding from, sooner or later you will have to get them replaced. But here is a link I found from before with a guy that had a griding too.

I have the same squeeqing problem also. But something is really wrong in 2nd gear. When I go above 4500 rpms it makes this really loud squeek noise for a long time until I shift. I dont know what it is but some people are telling me to get an oil change because mine is low. So off to get it changed...
