Default Motor mounts

My motor mounts have been bad for a while. When i rev it the whole damn thing moves. and im thinking thats why my car takes off like a turtle. So should i get stock mounts cause im on a low budget or are there better mounts for a low price.

Also how do you replace motor mounts? Is it a smart idea to have a shop do it becuase remember. low budget.

Thanks

1- it takes off like a turtle b/c it has little to no power.
2- make sure the stock mounts are even bad, stock mounts have a lot of give for comfort.
3- you will need to support the whole vehicle with jacks and support the motor with a block making sure nothing will move, then remove the mounts.

i mean it takes off so slow it wont even chirp them but once it gets past like 15 or 20 it goes pretty good. i can keep up with my freinds Ford taurus SHO V8. its almost like it stalls for a split second then takes off

Edit: i know the mounts are bad. they just look all cut up and nasty

ill look into some stock ones tomorrow.

if its not the motor mounts then why does my car take off so damn slow. i mean i know it only has 120hp MAX and its an AUTOMATIC but its abnormally slow. i drove this one girls car that was exacly the same as mine. D16y7. same everything just this one was stock and it was way way faster

Yea, you may have 110, but only 90 or so is making it to the wheels. A new air filter and all that tune up stuff with only restore lost HP from having a dirty filter, or bad spark plugs etc etc. If you can keep up with a v8, 235 hp and 230 ft·lb torque with your automatic, there's gotta be something wrong with the Ford driver....

You just fixed your idle making your throttle response smoother, not necessarily faster.
