89 civic hatchback

Running down the hwy at a constant speed engine will for lack of a better description skip (die momentarily). This may happen once or maybe a few times in succession never seen anything like it sometimes it will shut off and not come back on will have to pull over and wait a minute before it starts back. 20k ago new plugs wires cap rotor not sure about coil or dist but would really like to know what others think. No warning lights come on.

Looking for someone with knowledge dont know what to do...

Had that happen to me in one of my cars. Turned out to be a loose and corroded connection going into my coil.

 

Well I replaced the coil nothing looked loose but that is what I was leaning towards also. Now I will just have to wait and see if it fixes the problem seemed ok for the 50 mile drive to work. But the problem is so intermittent that it is hard to tell if it is fixed or not.

i had the same problem. what it could be like mine it did it a couple time then my distributor gave out. so try checking that

 

I was having the same problem and I replace my ignition control module and no my car is fine.. I believe the car dies when the icm gets to hot and when it cools a bit it allows it to start back up
