Default Missing Pipe

I have a 2000Honda Civic Si Vtec Motor and have ran into an unfortunate problem.. it leaks coolant. I have located the position of the open fixture but have been futile in my attempts to locate the position of either the location where a pipe would take fluid to or even the pipe it would have gone in at all.. is it possible that it was just capped off? It seems that would be of ill logic to just cap it off, i mean it must have some use, i have scoured the engine top to bottom left to right and cannot find anything, and i dont want to just cap it off and find it was incredibly important, i have provided a picture for you in hopes it helps, By the way its a B16A if thats of any conselation..

Looks like it needs a hose routed from it to the throttle body.

I know this sounds dumb but what is the throttle body and where does it hook up. Here are a few more pictures

diage, according to the illustration posted by ronj, it looks like there should be a hose that is disconnected. From your 2nd set of pictures, the hose is on the left side very close to where the missing connection is at. Keep looking. you should find a hose that is disconnected somehow.

The throttle body is the part attached to the end of thebig air hose that goes to the air filter box. There is a crank on the front side of the throttle body that goes to the cable to the gas pedal.

On the bottom of the throttle body pretty much directly under the crank for the gas pedal cable is the fitting that you need. It appears there is a hose connected there already. I can't see where the other end o fthe hose goes. The hose is right under the point of the arrow you drew on the first picture in the second set.

If necessary refer to the diagram Ron posted and follow every hose. Someone may have put one or more hoses on the wrong place.

The throttle body is immediately to the right of the IAC valve in the illustration.

The engine in the car currently has been manually installed before i bought it, the body is of an acura integra.. so its very possible that the pipes are completely wrong.. after looking at it, in the illistration the set of three holes is as follows.. the farthest to the right goes into the heater rather then from the spot near where the missing hole is.. the second spot goes to where the first one SHOULD... and the hose that says water bypass hose goes to where it looks like mine should.. now, the third spot looks like a fixture SHOULD go there.. but theres no hole for anything to flow in or out, ill try to take a picture of it when i get a chance.. but basically, it appears as its bigger then the initial thought it would be, which was a hose is missing..

You may be missing the piece with two metal pipes welded together. The lower pipe carries water from the bypass hose. The upper piece connects the air duct to the valve cover. The breather port on the valve cover must be connected to filtered air because as the engine runs, air is sucked in there and you don't want any dust getting into the engine. You don't strictly need that welded together piece though, it is just to preheat the air a little.
