Default Lucas Oil Stabilizer

A friend of mine substituted a litre of Lucas Oil Stabilizer for a litre of Royal Purple in his 2002 Celica. He says he saw a significant improvement in the feel and smoothness of the engine. I have Honda oil for my 97 civic, just wondering if that Lucas stuff is worth doing? I know Honda's are pretty picky as to oil choice...

Lucas is supposed to be run about 20% of capacity, and up to 50% on worn engines...trust me, we have a guy who brings his Semi truck to our shop for servicing. He brings a 4 liter jug (about a gallon) to mix with the oil we put in his truck....the stuff is so thick to pour in I have LOTS of time to read the label while it oozes in. Funny thing is once its mixed with the oil its all good...I'm thinking about trying it in my car

yeah, thats the recommended amount. So 1 qt Lucas, 3 qts motor oil of choice gives you the 4qt capacity in a Honda. I'm sure you could run less, but as always, read the directions :P

I have not used the stuff personally but I have not heard anything bad about it from those who use it. Seems like cigarettes...after the first few times you're hooked! lol

i've been using it in my cadillac for a few years now and it works great. i will probably use it in my honda at its next oil change and will use it in my camaro when i get the engine back together. just use 1qt of it in place of 1qt of oil. amazing stuff.
