low rpm idel? help

Default low rpm idel? help

so i was out today trying to relocate my iat sensor into my intake today and being stupid took out the tps sensor and put it in my intake. i then stated my car and in idel with about 100-200 rpm very low, so i put in back and reset the ecu and it still has the smame problum????

also at the same time i took the pvc pipe out of the coolant line and when i did a lot of coolant squited out, could there be a problem there with air inside the line? i put more coolant in

What year Civic?

The TPS is located on the throttle body. TPS fasteners generally must be drilled out to remove the sensor. Are you sure you removed the TPS? If so, the TPS must be calibrated when installed (0.5V close throttle, 4.5V wide open throttle). Can you post pictures?

1997 ex, no that wasnt it must have been the map sensor then on top of the tb , i think it is the coolant my rpm surges, no engine lights just the battery comes on when the rpm almost dies

Bleed the cooling system of possible trapped air (diagram) and also try cleaning the IACV (see forum DIY section).

did the bleeding, some air came out but it still didnt do it, could it of been when i took the map sensor out and put it in my intake stupidly, when i turned my car on i noticed the tb sucking in air where the map sensor was and then put it back????? my exahast has been acting wired too putting out some fumes it dosent normally put out and shakes more

I have never removed the MAP sensor, but I assume there is a rubber seal between the sensor and throttle body. Check whether this seal is damaged or leaking.

its sealed and not leaking. i guees ill have my friend look at it whan i get the chance, thanks for your help

problum fixed! had to get new map sensor and claened injectors and runs great
