low idle/running rich/flashing CEL but idles fine?

Having the spark suddenly quit when hot, then not be able to start again until cooled off, is a typical ICM failure. It could also be a distributor sensor-- those will usually set codes in the ECU but the ICM will not. Very rarely, the ECU itself, since you've already replace the whole distributor (new parts aren't necessarily good though). A non-working ECU might not cycle the CEL on and back off like it should when you turn the key on but don't crank.
