Default low idle

Hey guys
I'd tell you guys to refer to my sig for my car but for some reason it wont show up, im assuming there's a post amount to get to
anyways I have a 00 civic ex d16y8 and it has been low idling for quite a few thousand miles now
it does not do it all the time, only some of the time, but on occasion i have seen the idle drop as low as 100 and even lower for split seconds before it hops back up to about 200 and stays there
im pretty sure the idle for my car should be about 750, what would be causing this to idle so how? I also have an engine code for bad fuel mixture, and i know that it is running too lean
I have narrowed it to being either ignition system or fuel filter, am i right in my assumptions or is there something i might be missing? thanks,
-Ivan

I don't think the fuel filter has to do anything with this..Sometimes a bad O2 sensors won't get picked up and the Ecu won't read it. Maybe your Idle Air Control vale is giving up..When was the Last time you used Sea-foam. You can use it trough the air intake throttle body that will help clean all the carb deposits and also the ICV. You should give a shot it's good stuff . Or maybe the throttle body needs an adjustment there is a screw where the intake meets the throttle body

Might these two problems be related? If so, addressing the CEL code might solve all of your problems.

Go to Auto zone they will let you use there OBDII scanner for free to retrieve the Cel Code

I think I used seafoam about 5 months ago, i don't think it helped at all to be honest
Bad o2 sensor? My sensor behind the cat is giving me bad emissions and i JUST replaced that sensor and relocated it farther back ( I have a high flow crappy obx cat which is supposedly legal)
I had already gone to autozone and got back bad fuel mixture and bad 02 sensor reading
diagnoses were something with ignition, but im told those aren't always reliable and that it probably wouldn't be the ignition system

That cat is no good here in Cali for Emission testing. Maybe that could be your problem

Isn't cali wicked tough on emissions though? And even then since I relocated the sensor about 1.5 feet back shouldn't the car itself be getting a normal reading?
