Default Low end bog when cold

My 95 EX 5 speed bogs badly in the lower RPM's before it's fully warmed up. Just swapped plugs (NGK) and the air filter (time for both) but that made no difference.
My check engine light was on intermittently a few weeks ago, but has not been on at all since then. My mileage seems to have dropped off a bit lately as well. O2 sensor?

i think those codes are stored (if you have not reset the ecu).
if so, an auto parts store such as autozone can use the instument for that.
did you replace the pcv valve ?
check plug wires ?

Picking up a PVC valve at lunch....wires looked okay....I'll probably do wires, cap and rotor too.

Just seems weird that it runs great once it's up to normal operating temp.....Shop guy told me he could not check an OBD 1 to see if it needed an 02 sensor.

Check the coolant temp sensor reading when the engine is cold. The coolant temp sensor tells the PCM the temp of the engine and that is used to calculate the ignition timing and injector pulse width. If the temp sensor is telling the computer that it is at operating temp all the time, there won't be enough fuel when the engine is cold and your engine won't run correctly. Note: I am not implying that the coolant temp sensor is broken, i am suggesting it as a possible cause. Proper diagnosis should be done before changing anything. You can also put a voltmeter on the temp sensor and see if the voltage changes as the engine heats up. If the voltage stays constant then you know that something is wrong with the temp sensor/circuit.
