I have had this problem since purchasing my 2006 civic. It only happens when it rains fairly hard but something under the car, I think the exhaust, makes a really loud growling vibration. The dealership has had it up on the rack twice and can't identify the problem. They have heard it because I went in when it was raining but unless I move to Seattle, there is no way to guarantee when I take it in for repair, it will be a rainy day. Has anyone else experienced anything similar that could give me some guidance? Thanks

 

it might be ur brakes, when my brakes went, it soinded like my exhaust dragging..

 

@Seekiss Have you figured out what is causing the noise? I actually do live in the Seattle area and have had this problem for the past 3-4 years. It ONLY happens when there is a significant amount of water on the roadways. I, too, have taken it to the Honda dealership and I cannot believe that I'm the only one who has this problem. They cannot diagnose the problem. I've heard it may be the heat shield but know that the heat shield protects the catalytic converter and that's not the problem. I am so frustrated that driving in the rain scares the heck out of me. HELP!
