Default Lifetime of an automatic transmission

Has anyone had to replace their automatic transmission in their Civic? What year was the car and how many miles? I'm curious because I have a 1992 LX with 197,000 miles.

165,000miles, and mine is just fine. A good test is how long it takes to shift from park to drive or reverse. If there is a long pause(more than 1second), you may be on the road to problems.
