Default Knuckle Rubbing Spring

I have a 93 Civic, and the driver's side knuckle is rubbing against the spring. It's the part of the knuckle that extends upward and connects to the upper arm. I'm wondering if anyone has any similar experiences like this, and/or repair suggestions.

Thanks
Ryan

Can you post some clear photos? Can you see any bent or damaged front suspension components? Any excess free play in the front suspension components?

With the wheel off the ground, there is some significant play when pulling on the tire left to right. It seems to be coming from the inner tie-rod. I also do notice the lower ball joint boot is cracked open, and have noticed clunking when going over bumps. This is about all I notice. Might it be the upper arm itself...worn bushings? I should mention the car does have 194,xxx miles with no susp work ever done to it.
I'll see what I can do about some pics also.

Thanks again,
Ryan

It sounds like the inner tie rod/rack end and ball joint are definitely damaged. Did you slam into curb? Are you also loosing power steering fluid from the steering rack boot? Comparing the left and right side suspension components may give additional insights into damaged parts. Posting some good pictures from several different angles would also help.
