Keys stolen - How to deactivate remote entry
I was mugged this evening and my car keys were stolen along with my ID with my home address. It seems expensive to replace the locks on the car plus even if I decide to, I wanted to deactivate the remote entry in the mean time. I live in the city so without remote access, my car would be somewhat difficult to find because I might be parked 2-3 blocks from my house. With the remote access, someone can easily wander around clicking the lock button until they hear or see my car.
I haven't been able to find anything in a google search or in the user manual about how to do this in a 2010 Honda Civic. None of the things I tried that people had suggested for earlier models worked. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
