Default Keyless Entry '98 Civic

Hi Gang,
New to the forum and I am sure this issue has been discussed. Just replaced the stock radio in my 98 civic and the great CS at the shop failed to mention my keyless entry would not work once a new radio was installed. After thinking my battery in my remote was dead and changing it 3 times I did a little google searching and found out the remote was actually in the stock radio. Thanks to the salesman for probably knowing this but failing to mention to me...Anyways anyone have any suggestions on how I can get it working or do i have to break down and buy a new Keyless entry system...
