Didn't you read the directions? Also, a 98 LX comes with keyless entry stock, what do you need an aftermarket one for?

well i bought the car and it had no remotes. at the time i did not think about keyless entry. so one day i wanted it and bought a setup off ebay. i have the wire scheme but it just says 12v this color and so on. i dont know where all the wires meet. so what im asking is do i have to get extra wiring to run all over the car to meet both doors and run wire to the battery and a ground, etc.

yes it will, you hide the stock radio under the dash and split the power wires so the radio still has power but not connected to speakers. takes a little extra time to do it but well worth not having to put an aftermarket keyless entry in.

very resourceful site.

once you find your lock and unlock wires since they are negative wires this is how you want to test them to make sure they are your correct wires.

Ground your neg test lead on your multimeter and put your positive lead on the wire after you strip a part of the insulation back. The wire should rest at 12 volts when you hit the lock button your lock wire should drop to 0 volts and the same with your unlock wire.

Let me know if you need help with anything else I do remote starts and keyless entries professionally
