what would have to do if i did put it on? i bought it with the vtech swap in it. which is all messed up and i gotta go through it and do everything right. the motor is out of the si and i have the p2p ecu to put in yet and wire up the vtech. so i guess what all would i do to have that make a difference

i say:

get a p28 ecu
get a conversion harness obd2a to obd1 (it converts the ecu plugs to obd1)
run 2 wires from ecu to vtec

My approach is to get everything working properly as stock (or as close as possible) first, then consider modifying it. But like '94 said, the stock system will work fine for you with a stock non-turbo'd engine. You won't realize any performance gain with a different ignition.

ok i still have the stock ecu on the car and it is still running it. but the guy i bought it off of is running the 98 distributor on a 92-95 motor, it works but not that great lol. im trying to find the right one for that motor (which is not easy), every where i go somone has already robbed the. its throwin code 54 and i was told if i get the right distributor it will go away. so the stock ecu will run the vtec?

get the d16z6 dizzy from a 92-95 civic ex/si and this conversion plug,
http://rywire.com/store/obd2-10pin-o...c9135ed1189d14

also the code 54 is the crank sensor, only the 96-00 civic motors have them, the 92-95 motor dont have it, so thats why your throwing the code,
if you convert to obd1 and use the p28 ecu you wont have that code anymore, or you can try this.
