idling problem when engine cold
I have a standard 87 Honda civic hatchback and it runs great when the engine is hotter than cold on the temperature gauge. However, when the engine cools down to something that is less than the cold line on the temp gauge (if I park for longer than an hour) then the engine stalls unless my foot is on the gas a little. I would need to "warm up" the engine for about 4 minutes until the engine warms up to just past the cold marker on the temp gauge and then everything would be fine. The car has a little under 180,000 miles on it and on a good tankl I would get something like 40 mpg. The car does have a carburator and I've checked the air filter. I've tried injector cleaner to no avail. What might be the problem and how could I fix it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

It may be a faulty TW sensor/circuit. See pictures.
Is your Warning Light ON and are the self-diagnosis lamps blinking a code from the control unit located under the front passenger seat?

RE: idling problem when engine cold
Man I would not mess with that carburetor system, other than turn up the idle speed screw a little to keep it running.
It's really complicated. I don't think the computer has any self-diagnosis either. Basically the idle is controlled by valves in the big plastic box with all the hoses going to it.
