Well the thing about this car is that I am not aware of everything the previous owner did to it. I got it from this guy that got the car from the guy that did the modifications. Now, what I know for sure about my car is that it has an intake, headers, str fuel rail and maybe bigger injector (that I am not sure though). Also the original CAT is missing and the O2 sensor is unplugged. The cat that is on it now, does not have the hole for the sensor. The idle wasn't that good. It would form 1000 to 1500 RPM sometimes and most of he time it would stay 1500 rpm. I also have a check engine light. What I did to improve the idle temporarily was, I used the screw on the intake manifold and turned it clockwise until the RPM went below 1000. That got rid of the up and down problem and high idling, but I am not satisfied with this solution.

Oh sounds like it has some mods. Hey you live in LA right? I have a 97 ex as well. I will be doing some wrenching at my house this weekend. You are more than welcome to come by and I could take a look at it. I have an OBDII reader and we could see what that CEL code is and try to figure out the idle issue. I am almost possitive it will be the bad Cat code since the second O2 sensor is out. Let me know if you need some help.

Thanks a lot 97CivicEX. I really appreciate your help. I am fairly new with all this. What I've been doing so far is just alot of reading. The only thing is that, the car, I have it at body shop for a paint job and it will not be done until monday and the following weekend I'm going to a lake at santa barbara. For sure, next time your doing some wrenching, It would be great if I can come by for a little bit though. Here is my email guardado_mauricio@hotmail.com And once again thanks a lot.

Hey don't mention it. I understand how frustrating these things can be. I sent you an e-mail with some info and hopefully it helps you out a bit.
