ideling all over the place HELP

RE: ideling all over the place HELP
dont know if you are getting it.
Test number 3: the 2nd wire BECOMES a ground when the system is turned on; that is, when you turn on the ac or the headlights. with those off, then there should not be voltage.
Test number 4: the leads of the voltmeter are on the positive wire (black/yellow - that is a black wire with a yellow stripe) and the gound (negative) of your battery. And the key is also ON for this test as it is for number 3.
the price at autozone should be about 190 (but i will check for you).
if you did not set the ohmmeter to the right settings in doing test number 1 - you may have a faulty reading. but if it is zero, then there is an internal short in the iacv.

RE: ideling all over the place HELP
OK I was confused but now I understand I check for continuity on the ground wire of the 2 and it is grounded all the time, when the key is on with no a/c or lights the yellow and black wire has 12volts when I turn the a/c on the y-b wire has no power at all and the other wire is always grounded, I checked for resistance on another iacv I have off a good running car that i bought the iacv to try on my car and the resistance is .013 so not much difference but it is not the exact same style of iacv but it will bolt on and plug in so i would think it would work. Im not sure what this means but if you have any ideas let me know I thank you for all of your help so far.
