Question Icm Location Problemes

Hey fellas I am having a problem with replacing the ICM on a friends 1997 Honda Civic LX, I can't find it ...lol I was figuring it would be behind the distributor but I took the cap off and can't get the rotor off, I think i'm just afraid of it don't wanna pull too hard cause it's cold here and don't wanna break it. Is this how it comes apart or is there a trick to it, also is that where the ICM is located or am I on the wrong track, PLEASE help me out with a little direction. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated, THANKS AGAIN...

There is screw in the side of the rotor that holds the rotor on. Rotate the engine to bring the rotor around to where you can see it. After the rotor is off you can take the plastic plate out and see the ICM.

You could also take the whole bottom part of the distributor off of the engine and bring it inside to work on it. Mark the position of the timing slots so you would be able to put it back on approximately in time.
