i searched but couldnt find anything... simple cluster swap.
Hey i have a 90 civic std. My cluster has no tach on it.... so i was wondering if i went to a pick your part and got a cluster (90 si or sumthin) if it would hook right up and work... or if i would need to take other stuff off the car.... i searched here and honda-tech... couldnt find anything that helped me with my question.... i wish i knew, as much as u wish i didnt start another cluster swap thead.

I had the same problem in my 91. As far as i know they are fully swapable, as in
unplug old one plug in new one. I ended up just installing an aftermarket tach...easy to
install with some electrical know how.

Yes, the gauges are plug and play status. DO NOT get a gauge cluster from a an 88 or 89 though. Just an opinion, but you should just get an aftermarket tach, unless you're going for a JDM look. You don't have to deal with the question of the cars mileage count that way. When I get home from school I'll post you a link on how to install one. Seriously, it's cake.
Edit: The install instructions if you opt for the aftermarket
