Default I NEED A CIVIC WIZ

Ok i have a 1995 Honda Civic with 1.5 16valve engine and auto tranny ...

Car runs great , except when i go over 50+ miles distanceon the highway , all of a suden the MPH gauge goes crazy jumping up and down , then it stops for a minute and then comes back , and you can feel the torque covertor acting funny ,and the mileage stops moving .. My first thought was speed sensor ?? but wouldnt that give a check engine light ??? No check engine light hascome on yet ever .. 115K miles

im truly stumped and i am driving 1400 miles each way next month , so i figured i should get started now ..... ANYONE have a CLUE ???

It runs fine everyday , even if i jump on the interstate and run 20-30 miles its ok but once i go 50-60 it starts up ...

I drive the car around the city with no problems ever !!! Its wierd

No one has had something similar ???

has anyone had a speed sensor go , on a model with out Cruise Control ???
if so how did it act ???
