Is there any differance between a hx model and an ex model
the reason that i asked this was becasue im trying to buy parts fro my car and it says ex only so are they the same

 

What year and model do you have? Many of the engine parts for the HX are different, it was more optimized for mpg. The EX is the high performance version.

it depends on what parts you are looking for. some parts are interchangeable between the hx and ex models. for example, i was shopping for a short ram intake couple months ago, and i kept looking and found out that ex and hx intake are the same. so i ordered one for the ex and it fits perfectly in my hx. it does look like ex and hx have similar looking engine.

 

I believe the Hx has a D16Y5 engine, whereas the EX has the D16Y8 engine.

 

^ yea, but i think it looks pretty similar. got a short ram labeled for Ex and fits perfectly in my Hx, everything lined up exactly

 

Yeah, I think the two engines are similar in many ways.

 

well what about headers do you think they are the same
