How to get access to gauges?

RE: How to get access to gauges?
thanks. you can access the bulbs easily by getting behind the gauges. Yes you do have to remove the plastic (not glass) to put in glo gauges... but hey, why not get some glow gauges? They look cool, they dont use bulbs, and they are easy as $hit to intsall. well, if your not very mechanically inclined then id get a pro to do it.

Oh!! I thought I still need the bulbs for glow gauges..So then does it automatically get brighter when it gets dark or something?
Doesn't the light die after a while?
Sorry man...I know nothing about it.

its ok dude. Well, in the day the guages are white, and as it gets darker, the gauges colors will show up more and more... look at my pics, by day they are white, at night they are colored. I havent heard of them dieing. Ive had mine for about 7 months. But hey if mine die, ill shell out another $40 nothing to it.

I wired my glows into the parking lights circuit so that they come on when I put the lights on. I wouldn't recommend running them all the time. There's no reason for it and they might go out like that...but they are cheap

I know this thread is old but I had a question. So glow gauges are basically like flat inserts with leds in them? You just slip them over the gauges and wire them up? How do you remove the plastic cover on the gauge cluster.

I saw the pics on the guages and notice they are white guages, i wonder if its better if you color the needle. I found some posting where they colored it orange but it was against a black ( stock) background.
