I bought an aftermarket e-brake handle and boot and can't figure out how to remove the handle.

I did it to mine about a year ago. It's not easy with a 6th gen civic, you got to hack at it along the seam untill you get to the metal part then pry it off. Be carefull not to hackoff the button at the end tho!! theres about an inch at the end thats a cord leading to the button that you do not want to cut off.
