Default honda civic type r k20 engine a2 wont rev over 2000rpm

hi all on this web site im new to the site and im wanting some help/info i have a honda civic type r on a 53 plate and its not reving over 2000 rpm its popping and splutterin sounds like its bogging out wen u rev it all sensors have been checkd and its had a new clutch put in it could it be any thing to do with that also lamba sensor is not working which i dont think that will be causeing it to be onist its really getting to me now

have you checked the timing? if so, double check it. do K's have distributors? I think they're coil on wire if memory serves me... but if I'm wrong, then check the firing order.

No check engine light?
Could it be possible that its running on limp mode?
(not sure how K's work..lol)

engine managemant light is on and its coil pack its all sparking in each cylinder it was running fine be for i took the gear box out gets to 2 half rpm and wont rev any higher just splutters an pops abit how do u check timeing??? lol

FIRST THING....CHECK why the Check engine light is ON.
There's a reason why its on.
It could be making you go into blimp mode.
....Engine management light is there for a reason..lol

To check timing, take the upper timing belt cover off and manually turn the crank to TDC (you may want to remove spark plug #1 and probe in the cylinder to make sure the piston is really at the top). Then check the marks on the cam gears. I think it will be like the B series DOHC's that have a single slash mark on the edge of the gear. Properly timed at TDC1, the two marks will point at each other at the center. (If they are at the outside, this is the other TDC; turn the crank all the way around exactly one turn.) If you have aftermarket adjustable cam gears make sure they are set to zero.

ok well it carnt be that then loads ov ppl are saying its crank shaft sensor/or the two camshaft sensors on a/b bank front cam an back cam ????? thats what the computer said when they got it plugged in
