You have to remove two plugs that are on the intake,, and plug them right into the cai, very easy

Default RE: Honda Civic 95 Cold Air Intake Help Please

Hey I just recently installed my CAI and I had two questions. The first is the o2 hose. Does it perform better if the hose is shorter because my hose is really long. 2nd I have a question about the couplers. I received the wrong couplers I think. I received two... 2.5 to 3 and 3 to 3. The pipes are 2.75 inches. And the engine bay hosts a 2.5 inch so I attach the 2.5 to the engine bay and the 3 to the pipe. The only thing is the pipe is too small to completely fit into the 3 inch so I tried to make it work but pushed it all the way in until it can't go in anymore and it worked well since the coupler was a reducer. After that I tightened the clamps so it would not fall out. It wiggles a bit but can't be pulled out. But I think all CAI's wiggle a bit. There is still space around the pipe but it is airtight since the pipe was shoved in all the way. I was wondering if what I did was a bad idea? What should I do besides getting new couplers? Thanks.

There is no mass air sensor on a '95. It's a MAP sensor based system. The intake can be just a straight pipe into the throttle body.
