Default Help with Radiator Coolant

Hi,
I'm novice with car stuff. My 99 civic, when filling the windshield, I happened to notice that the Radiator Reservoir tank has antifreeze/coolant level below MIN. I didn't check the Radiator level as such, as I'm not comfortable checking it. I thought I would buy and fill in the reservoir tank and get this taken care in my next oil change time-soon., but instead of buying 50/50 I bought just the antifreeze. Tomorrow I'm planning on returning and buying the fifty-fifty and filling up the reservoir. Should this be a concern ?!
Question: Reservoir isn't empty, so main radiator shouldn't be low...Is my understanding right !? Radiator takes in from reservoir only when it runs out, and not the other way right.
Thanks

take your radiator cap off and check the level, it should be near the top where the cap is.

if you already didn't know, make sure everything is cooled down and you didn't drive your car before you check the level.

+1

Also fill the reservoir to max level with the 50:50 coolant.

Negative. 50/50 is coolant and distilled water.
