Default Help me ID this

Hi guys, I just picked up a clutch kit for my honda civic and it came with a small tube looking think with a paste in it...

Is this a small packet of grease or something else?

Yes, you put some grease on the splines of the transmission shaft where it goes into the clutch disk. Use only a very small amount because if the grease works its way out onto the friction surfaces, the clutch will not work properly.

Also when installing a clutch set you can save yourself a potential headache by trying the clutch disk onto the transmission shaft before installing it. If it doesn't fit, you have the wrong part for your car. Much better to find that out sooner than later when trying to lift the transmission into place.
